In conjunction with BLA's ongoing Loon Preservation Project, we designed and built two artificial floating loon nests.  Floating loon nests are positioned to address specific predation issues on our ponds.  One of our new artificial nests was positioned April 2020 in upper Long Pond along with two other highly successful twenty year old floating nests.  The second BLA nest was also built in April 2020 and is Great Pond's first artificial nest and hopefully will also be a success.
